The Anton Group consists of unique companies that can form a collective force through close collaboration. They all offer innovative solutions for steel and concrete construction, industry, civil engineering, and for projects involving railways and airports.
The desire for improvement
In such a large company with many subsidiaries, a lot of consultation is logically required. There are more than 15 different management meetings each month. The meeting process was streamlined in OneNote, but this did not go satisfactorily. Gathering input involved a lot of manual work, and integrating customization into the visibility of agendas was not possible. To speed up and improve the processes surrounding these meetings, General Director Jacco Braas began looking for a solution.
A perfect match
In the search for a new meeting solution, the Anton Group found Topical Meetings. The great advantage of Topical compared to OneNote for the Anton Group is that the manual work becomes much easier. Automated notifications are sent for gathering input, and setting access per agenda item is quickly done.
Additionally, the manual work involved in sending invitations, creating agendas, collecting documents, sharing preparatory work on time, and making reports, action lists, and decision lists is also automated.
“The fixed formats and the ability to schedule a series of meetings save me lots of time and effort.”

Less and better meetings
With the changes in gathering input and the customized access per agenda item, the Anton Group has achieved its goal. Not all colleagues need to attend every meeting anymore, as the management decides in advance which input will be followed up on. This has reduced the overall meeting pressure per employee and created more space for individual work.
General Director Jacco says the following about it: “As a management member, I find it convenient to always see all the input from the various departments directly on the agendas. This way, we can make decisions more quickly and limit the number of meeting participants to the bare minimum.”
In conclusion
At Topical Meetings we are happy to support the Anton Group in having fewer and better meetings!
